General considerations

★ Prior to commencing any service, I’ll send through an intake form. After submitting this, we can set up a brief meeting to discuss the information you’ve provided, as well as what you’re hoping to get out of my services.

★ Please feel free to let me know any information about your pet’s history or behaviour, even if you feel it may not be totally related to the current situation! All info is valuable and helps create a comprehensive picture of how best to meet your pet’s needs. The more data points, the better.

★ My priority is always to ensure the safety and comfort of your pet. I avoid aversive tools and methods, as I believe they reduce trust and do not help any animal feel safe enough for their emotions or behaviours to truly change in a positive direction. Training and behaviour are almost never quick fixes in my opinion.

★ Let me know if you’re interested in more than one service. I’m happy to combine certain services where it makes sense, while keeping it as cost-effective as possible.

★ Please ensure your pet’s parasite treatments and vaccines are up to date.

★ Please be aware that I’m able to assist with basic ongoing medical care tasks, however I am not a veterinary nurse, veterinarian or veterinary behaviourist.

★ Please inform me prior to the service of any allergies, sensitivities, or medical conditions your pet/s have that may affect the service I’m providing.

★ After each service, I’ll send through a summary of the session along with an invoice. Payment (via bank transfer or cash) is generally due within 72 hours, after which late fees may apply. If we’re booked for more than one service per week, I’ll provide you with a weekly invoice rather than one for each individual service.

★ I charge 50% for cancellations within 1 hour of the scheduled service. I do not charge for rescheduling.

Walking

★ 30-90 minute dog walks from your home.

★ Including play, enrichment, and training.

Things to consider

Please keep me aware of any behavioural concerns or training goals so I’m able to reinforce your dog correctly.

Please ensure your dog has a leash and a well-fitting collar or harness. I carry an anti-choke slip lead on walks in case of an issue occurring (eg. your dog’s equipment breaks or malfunctions.)

Does your dog have any particular preferences on walks, or sensitivities to things in the environment? Are there locations in your local area you’d prefer to avoid?

What’s an average duration for your current walks? How frequently are you and your dog walking at the moment?

After returning your dog home, I’ll send you a message detailing our route, what we did, and any notable behaviours you might want to know about.

For your dog’s (and my own!) comfort and safety, I may have to limit the walk’s duration during adverse weather conditions such as high speed winds, heavy rain, 25°C and rising.

Pricing

★ $35 for 30-60 mins

★ $40 for 60-90 mins

★ $5 per additional dog

Training

★ Training sessions in or out of your home (eg. at a nearby park) of up to 60 minutes.

★ Address behavioural concerns, train life skills, and obedience.

Things to consider

Prior to beginning training sessions, I’ll conduct a brief meeting in person. The purpose of this meeting is for me to observe your pet and their environment, and for us to discuss your pet’s history, your ideas and/or concerns, and create some goals to work toward.

My priority is always to ensure the safety and comfort of your pet. I avoid aversive tools and methods, as I believe they reduce trust and do not help any animal feel safe enough for their emotions or behaviours to truly change in a positive direction. Training and behaviour are almost never quick fixes in my opinion.

Pricing

★ $35 for introductory in-person meeting

★ $40 per session

Care tasks

★ Pet care tasks, such as drop-ins, feeding, basic grooming/bathing, and cleaning of pet spaces.

Things to consider

Some examples of my care task service:

‍ ‍Drop-ins: I check in at your home for about 5-10 minutes (or up to 45 mins, at your request) to ensure your pet is safe and has all the basics they need (eg. replacing bedding, scooping litter, providing food, water, medications.) I’m also happy to provide some play or comforting pats if they’d enjoy that.

‍ ‍Feeding, watering & administering medication: I provide your pet with fresh water, and their meal. I’ll also wash any feeding dishes if needed. Regarding special dietary restrictions, I’m happy to complete basic food preparation tasks if this is required. I am also able to administer oral liquids and tablets, and topical medications.

‍ ‍Basic grooming: I can brush your pet’s coat, or bathe them if necessary. Keep in mind you may need to be present for more invasive grooming such as teeth brushing or nail trims, or if your pet can be more prone to stress when groomed.

‍ ‍Cleaning of pet spaces: maintaining a hygienic space is so important for your pet’s safety and comfort. Sometimes it can get overwhelming, so I’m happy to help out by cleaning your pet’s crate/enclosure, washing pet dishes, replacing bedding, deep cleaning litter boxes, etc.

Prior to my visit, please provide me with a clear description on tasks to ensure I understand your and your pet’s needs.

I take public transport everywhere, so I’m currently unable to bring any cleaning or grooming supplies along to homes. As such, please provide any tools you’d like me to use for pet-related cleaning, or grooming of your pet.

Pricing

★ $20-30 per task

Pricing for care tasks is approximate due to wide scope of service. I will keep combined services as cost-effective as possible.

Enrichment add-on

★ I can bring along a novel enrichment item or activity for your pet during a booked service.

★ Depending on the item and your preference, I may set it up and guide your pet through the activity during my visit, or leave it ready for you to deploy later with minimal effort.

Things to consider

Some items are single-use and can be disposed of after use (eg. cardboard-based shredding activities.) Other items (eg. bubble machine, snuffle mat) are part of my own equipment collection and are loaned temporarily for your pet’s use; these will need to be collected by me to be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between households.

Please ensure any loaned items are made available for collection at our next booking. If a loaned item is damaged or not returned, a replacement fee may apply based on the item’s original purchase price.

The $5-10 charge is to cover the cost of materials, cleaning, preparation, transport, set-up/pack-down, and for the novelty of having something new and temporary available for your pet. If you already have enrichment items or activities at home, I’ll happily engage your pet with these during a booked service at no extra cost.

Feel free to let me know any of your pet’s preferences, I’ll do my best to bring along something special for them!

Minding

★ Daytime and/or nighttime pet minding/sitting at your home.

★ Includes providing meals, basic grooming, play and enrichment, and pet-related cleaning.

Things to consider

How much communication would you like during the booking? I can keep it emergency-only, or if you prefer frequent updates, I’m very happy to provide these!

What’s your household’s current routine? I’ll do as much as possible during the booking to keep things consistent for your pet.

I don’t currently bring any cleaning or grooming supplies along to homes; as such, please provide any tools you’d like me to use for pet-related cleaning, or basic grooming of your pet.
